Please use email to udiscteprogram@udel.edu for program matters. We are watching for you there.
In a pinch, you can also use laux@udel.edu . If you do that, VERY IMPORTANT, please put "UD-ISCTE" in the subject line. If you do not, your mail may not be seen by me! Do this!
Watch often for Announcements on the main page of this website. You are responsible to see them reasonably quickly after they are posted. This means you need to have your phone or computer on a cell phone network or wifi reasonably often, so you can check.

Location information
Our hotel is: Springhill Suites Newark, Delaware
402 Ogletown Road
Newark, Delaware 19711
Phone +1 302 273 1000
Hotel provides breakfast. Dinner catered on weekdays (dias utéis). Breakfast is together with all hotel guests, dinner special for us.
Springhill Suites has large single rooms for 3 people. There are 2 queen-size beds, and a small living room area with a sofa and trundle bed. There are microwaves and a small fridge. We will assign 3 students to each room.
You can stay at the hotel on the weekend in the middle of the Program period, but we expect that most students will want to travel for tourism. You can leave any extra luggage in your room if you travel. There will not be any scheduled activities on that weekend. It is time on your own---and, please remember, at your own responsibility and expense.
Most class sessions take place in the Gelzeiler Trading Center:
in Purnell Hall--here is a link to a map showing Purnell Hall's location
in the Lerner College of Business and Economics
on the University of Delaware Main Campus in Newark, Delaware
at the corner of Amstell Avenue and Orchard Avenue
On the map above that shows Purnell Hall, you can also slide the map over to look toward the right---you will find our hotel, the Springhill Suites, on the first big yellow-colored street you come to on the map, at the intersection of Library Avenue and Ogletown Road
Most lunches are "on your own," but we will provide some snacks and coffee during class break time. We have not shown all break times on the schedule, but we do expect some mid-morning and mid-afternoon breaks.
To give you a picture, here are a few photos of the hotel and rooms, and of the Gelzeiler Trading Center.
Program requirements
To earn a Program Certificate you must competently complete all assignments. Assignments will be listed as we go along. There may be some 'homework', but it will not be severe during the June in-person program period. Instructors may add more assignments on the fly, so watch for them!. Note that without full attendance, you will not be able to complete all assignments....so be sure to attend every session...that is crucial!
